Coloured Raine is a paraben and gluten free brand, that’s also vegan friendly and cruelty free. I’ve tried their liquid lipsticks in the past and i was very impressed with the colour pay off, longevity and the comfort on my lips!
The only con i have is that they are a bit on the pricey side, at £15, which is a bit steep for a lipstick, just my thought. Now i usually wait till there’s a sale on Beauty Bay so i can take advantage, which is what i did this time around.
Here’s a little run down on their matte liquid paint:
”A highly pigmented matte finish liquid lipstick in a variety of shades. ” It is opaque and has a light weight feel. It goes on as liquid and dries to a matte finish which is intense and will stay all day . It claims to be smudge proof.
Are they smudge proof? Yes! Are they intense? Yes! just apply two to three coats and you’ll get great colour pay off. Here are a few swatches i did.
This one is called “Classy” it is a pink- tinged white. If you are of a dark or deeper skin tone, i’d suggest using a brown lip liner. If you are light to medium, then just apply it as is and you are good to go.
This is “Whatever” and it’s a true mocha, one of my favourites. Would go nicely on medium to dark skin tones.
Excuse the silly face, haha. What’s life without a little silliness sometimes? Now this shade is also a favourite of mine, i wear this shade all year round. Suitable for all skin tones, the name is “Roulette”, a dark rouge with purple undertones.
Which was your favourite? Check video linked below to see what other shades i swatched. Thanks for stopping by, happy Friday.
Who’s ready for Coachella or any other festivals?
Hello friends, i don’t know about you but i’m truly enjoying these bold, vibrant colours! So fitting for the festival season. A few years ago you’d never get me to wear anything that wasn’t neutrals, but as i started delving into bolds, and stepping outside my comfort zone i’ve realised that it’s not that bad and they look great on my skin tone.
This looks brings me to life, i’m going to quickly break it down for you:
My face and brows are the usual routine, the only thing that i change from time to time is my foundation.
For the eyes i used two palettes from Shany Cosmetics, the 7 layer masterpiece for the blues used on my lids and lash lines and the eyebook for the crease/transition shade. It was quite simple and not a lot of effort was involved, except for making sure that all the colours are blended in together to give it a seamless finish.
I added Yegz lashes which are some of my favourites, because they are so affordable, beautiful and really easy to work with. The fun part of the look was adding the stars to the side of my face, when the lights hit them, they are a dream! I wish i had done both sides but the end result was great, if i may say so myself.
To complete the entire look, i put a choker on and a hat which is from H&M, now i am festival ready!
See how i achieved this by clicking link below. Feel free to try it out too. Thanks for stopping by.
Good day beauties, let’s hope we all had a wonderful weekend and are ready for a productive week.
Carnival has been in full swing in some countries, it’s a time of fun and enjoyment, showcasing beautifully made costumes with vibrant colours. Let’s just say it’s a celebration of art, whether for makeup or the design and making of the costumes.
One of the most interesting parts of carnival of course is the makeup, you can choose to go minimal or all the way out! Personally i’m obsessed with all the rhinestones, gems, glitters and paints that are used to create fabulous looks. Even though i won’t be a part of the celebrations, i wanted to share my look, you might get some inspiration as well as ideas on what you can create if you are planning to be a part of these festivals.
Now this look is bold, playful and fun! I have done looks like this before but to me this one stands out. Here it is guys!
I loved the combination of pinks, oranges and purples. For me blending these colours together takes time and patience, especially if you want a seamless and flawless finish.
For the lips i opted for an ombre effect, i’ve paired Coloured Raines ‘Berri Raine’ liquid lipstick with LA Girl’s liquid lipstick in ‘Dreamy’. Such a superb look, which you can achieve.

Hello everyone, happy Friday!
Here’s a look i did, you may know that green is synonymous with St.Patrick’s day and to add to that it’s one of my favourite colours. Yes i’ve said numerous times, i love neutrals but i do like stepping out of my comfort zone sometimes.
Fairly easy to achieve and suitable for any skin tone! I’ve also managed to use the Nyx Soho Glam palette to complete the entire look. I did a quick review of this palette, where i stated that i was a bit disappointed in the pigmentation, this isn’t one of the best palettes from Nyx, however i did what i had to do to make it work.
If you’re planning on celebrating St. Patrick’s Day then feel free to try this look. There a tutorial on how to achieve it. You can also use any green, black and brown in your collection.

Hello everyone, hope you had a great weekend and are looking forward to a productive week.
I recently got some lipsticks that i thought were Spring worthy, they are what i like to call cheap and cheerful. They are from the Nyx Cosmetics line, and they are called High Voltage.
This is privileged
3.Glides on easily with a creamy finish
1. Doesn’t last a long time on lips
2.Sometimes patchy (do ensure that lips are exfoliated, moisturised and primed)
I really like these lipsticks i must say. However women of colour have to make sure that they line their lips with a brown lip pencil in order for some of the shades to look good on their skin tones, as with some lipsticks on the market, they only work when used with a brown lip pencil. It tones them down just a bit, so don’t be scared to experiment!
Here’s a video i did swatching those and more, you’ll also see why i also used a lip liner.
