Coloured Raine matte liquid paint

Coloured Raine is a paraben and gluten free brand, that’s also vegan friendly and cruelty free. I’ve tried their liquid lipsticks in the past and i was very impressed with the colour pay off, longevity and the comfort on my lips!

The only con i have is that they are a bit on the pricey side, at £15, which is a bit steep for a lipstick, just my thought. Now i usually wait till there’s a sale on Beauty Bay so i can take advantage, which is what i did this time around.

Here’s a little run down on their matte liquid paint:

”A highly pigmented matte finish liquid lipstick in a variety of shades. ” It is opaque and has a light weight feel. It goes on as liquid and dries to a matte finish which is intense and will stay all day . It claims to be smudge proof.

Are they smudge proof? Yes! Are they intense? Yes! just apply two to three coats and you’ll get great colour pay off. Here are a few swatches i did.

This one is called “Classy” it is a pink- tinged white. If you are of a dark or deeper skin tone, i’d suggest using a brown lip liner. If you are light to medium, then just apply it as is and you are good to go.

This is “Whatever” and it’s a true mocha, one of my favourites. Would go nicely on medium to dark skin tones.

Excuse the silly face, haha. What’s life without a little silliness sometimes? Now this shade is also a favourite of mine, i wear this shade all year round. Suitable for all skin tones, the name is “Roulette”, a dark rouge with purple undertones.

Which was your favourite? Check video linked below to see what other shades i swatched. Thanks for stopping by, happy Friday.

OPV Beauty ‘Gorgeous’ eyeshadow palette

Hello butterflies, hope your weekend is going great so far. I wanted to quickly share with you an eyeshadow palette that i got from OPV Beauty.

I am in love with the colour selection, let’s just say this is a one stop shop for most eye looks! It has from neutrals to a few bold shades.

OPV is a UK based brand, however they ship worldwide, they have quite a bit of products in their line. I’ve been trying to test most of these items and so far they are actually not bad. In my previous post i spoke about their matte lipsticks, i mentioned how lovely they are, so you can expect to see me collecting more of them!

Back to the topic at hand! This palette consists of 35 shades, 17 matte and 18 shimmer. It’s what i would call a mixed bag! Some of the matte shades didn’t seem to swatch very well on my skin, however using a white base will surely bring out the pigments a bit more, as for the shimmer ones, wow! They are absolutely delightful, the pigmentation is top notch.

When i saw the palette on Beauty Bay it immediately reminded me of the Morphe Palettes, however i’ll have to admit the Morphe palettes take the cake! This palette is very reasonably priced at £20, and quite lightweight, so this makes it travel friendly.

Now here’s the palette i speak of, it is called the “Gorgeous” palette.

What are my thoughts? Beautiful palette and great choice of colours, but as i mentioned above some are not as pigmented as others. That i can fix by using a very good base. Many looks can be created from this palette, perfect for weekend getaways! My favourites hands down were the warmer tones, if you know me, then you’d know that i always marvel about warmer tones on my skin.

How do i rate this palette? I’d give it a 7/10, just because the more neutral shades need to be a bit more pigmented for my liking.

Do you have this palette? Let me know how you feel about it. Thanks for stopping by.

Bridal makeup look (cool toned)

Hello lovelies!

Who’s getting married soon? I know sometimes it’s hard to decide what looks to go for on that special day, so i’ve done a look, suitable for all skin tones. All you have to do is select the lip colour that you prefer. You’ll be turning heads for sure!

Basically what i did was a simple cool toned look which i know is very popular for brides, warm tones are also very popular. Every girls dream is to look beautiful on their wedding day and of course having flawless makeup is quite important, if you don’t wear makeup then that’s a different case haha.

Ok so for the lips in this photo i went for pink. I paired LA Girls matte lipstick called ‘Timeless” with a pink lip gloss from Shany Cosmetics to achieve this pretty pink shade. I found the liquid lipstick quite drying and patchy so adding a gloss made a huge difference. Very feminine and gorgeous combination.

This nude lipstick is understated yet beautiful! If you’re not so much into pink lips then maybe this is the shade for you. Using a brown lip liner from LA colours along with Gerard Cosmetics lipstick in ‘Buttercup, i created this soft and stunning lip combo. This lipstick from Gerard Cosmetics smells divine and is very comfortable too.

Want the lips to stand out some more? Why not go for a red lipstick? This shade of red goes so well with the eyes. It’s another LA Girls Cosmetics matte lipstick called ‘Backstage’.

I loved the way all three lipsticks complimented the eye look! Which did you prefer? Let me know. Thanks for stopping by. See tutorial on this look, click link below.

‘Go to’ Spring makeup look

IMG_1234IMG_1237IMG_1239

Hey everyone, hope you’re all having a wonderful Easter!

I just wanted to quickly share my ‘go to’ Spring makeup look with you. This look is suitable for people who are always on the go but still want to look put together! I’ve also given you a choice of two lip colours. Personally i love the bold magenta shade, it screams Spring to me.

The eyes are very minimalistic, so it is definitely fit for the office, school or any occasion for that matter. You can do a nude lip as well which will go very nicely with the eyes, if you think the lips are a little bit too bold. Very wearable on any skin tone as well.

Please be sure to check out the video to see the steps involved in getting this look. Click link provided below.
