Juvia’s Place Masquerade mini palette

I’ve been having a lot of fun with this palette! It is raved about by a lot of makeup artists and enthusiasts. The quality and pigmentation of the eyeshadows are absolutely amazing!

This brand Juvia’s Place is well known for their eyeshadow palettes, some may say they are quite affordable but that is relative! I purchased mine off Beauty Bay and i paid a whopping £26, now they have gone up to £30! With that being said, they are worth the price, for the quality and the amount you get in a palette.

According to the Juvia’s Place site and i quote, “This palette is inspired by African festivities, filled with joy and spiritual activities. The bold colours represent costumes used in festivals. The nudes and browns represent the African soil and environments.”

I think it a lovely combination of colours, perfect for anyone who wishes to create, bold as well as neutral looks.

This look i created is one of my favourites, the colour pay off and the blending ability of the shadows are unrivalled.

Mind you i did get a little bit of fall out but i guess tapping the excess off the brush or using a slightly damp one will minimise that issue. This to me is a minor problem, i highly recommend this palette, big thumbs up!

Bold Summer Makeup

Hey beauties!

Take a look at this beautiful look i did using the Revolution ‘Redemption Mermaids and unicorn’ palette. The colours in this palette are absolutely beautiful, they are bold, pigmented and blend very nicely.

I’m sure a lot of you may be familiar with Makeup Revolution which is a UK drugstore brand. You can purchase their products online as well as many other makeup outlets, so they are easy to get your hands on. They are an affordable brand, with great quality.

I used those two shades shown above, and they were the perfect combination! To give the eyes a little more drama, i used NYX Brights liquid eyeliner in ‘Vivid Sapphire’.

I loved the outcome, I think this is such a playful, fun look. I hope you like it as much as i do. Thanks for stopping by.

Morphe 25A palette, worth £19?

Hey there lovelies!

To add to my growing makeup collection, i’ve purchased another Morphe palette. I have been a big fan of Morphe ever since they were highly spoken about by a lot of beauty influencers on social media. Don’t get me wrong, i don’t always buy everything they rave about, a particular product has to really grab my attention for me to spend money.

Browsing on Beauty Bay, I came across this palette that looked like something i’d most certainly enjoy using, now Beauty Bay i must add is one of my favourite online makeup stores, i  always end up purchasing even when i’ve said to myself i’m only window shopping, yea right! Haha.

Of course i quickly grabbed this palette as things on Beauty Bay go so fast, ‘you snooze you lose’. It has been my ‘go to’ it consists of some really gorgeous warm shades, that are perfect for everyday wear or any occasion for that matter. I can never have too many neutral palettes as i always wear them more than i do bolder more vibrant shades.

This palette has 25 shades, ranging from taupes, beige, browns, golds to blacks. Basically you get a decent selection of warm tones.

1st row

The first row swatched ok, i use the beige  shades for my brow bone highlight. If you’re going to use on the lids, then you’ll definitely have to build them up.

2nd row

I don’t care much for the second row, it’s my least favourite in the palette. I don’t know what exactly i’d use these to do, but i’m sure they can also be used as lid colours. They aren’t as pigmented either.

3rd row

The third row again was just ok, let’s just say the first three rows in this palette were not the best.

4th row

Now the fourth row is my absolute favourite, just look at how pigmented these shades are! The shimmer or foiled shades are hands down the best in the palette. They are super pigmented, smooth and blend like a dream.

5th row

The fifth row wasn’t bad either, the shades are pigmented as well.

My overall thoughts on this palette, i would say it is definitely a mixed bag! The first three rows weren’t up to much.

Is it worth £19? In my opinion not really, Morphe has other palettes which have 35 shades, and some have amazing pigmentation selling at £22, now that’s a better deal. I guess it comes down to a matter of personal preference.

Here’s a look i created using this palette, i have to say i really loved the outcome!

Thank you for indulging me.

Glitter cut crease with pop of blue

Hello friends, you know when you’re not very good at something but you want to learn so you keep practicing? That’s me doing a cut crease, i find it a little tricky, so each time i’m about to attempt, i keep my fingers crossed hoping they’ll come out great, haha, i sometimes surprise myself! Believing and having confidence in yourself and your work is a hell of a thing, it can push you past limits that you’ve never gone before. Telling yourself that you can do it and do it well, will most times result in you doing something to the best of your ability. Also keep practicing and working on your craft. This doesn’t just apply to makeup, it’s everyday life scenarios. Give yourself pep talks, speak things into existence, you’ll be amazed by the results.

This look i’ve done is perfect for weddings, engagement parties, clubbing, just any type of parties. Notice i’ve used a nudish pink colour for the lips, so the focus will be on the eyes. I loved the glitter i used, iridescent and just so stunning. I’d say it wasn’t too bad of a job, what do you think?img_0525img_0524fullsizerender

Never limit yourself, if you really want to achieve something, go for it, with full force!

Come through Summer!

Hey everyone, hope you all had a fantastic weekend, i did!

Summer is upon us, can you believe it? My how time flies! I can’t wait for the sun to be out everyday but in the mean time i’ve been easing myself gently into the season.

I’ve been playing around a lot with colours, it’s a feel good factor for me, it just brings everything to life, be it fashion, makeup, or even your home decor!. For me it’s fashion and makeup and as you can see in the picture provided this time it’s makeup. I’ve always been that girl who would stay clear of bold colours, i’ve always gravitated towards neutrals as i felt safer and more comfortable, that isn’t the case anymore, bring on the bolds!

Growth is a beautiful thing. Now i’m not afraid to do bold makeup looks, yea me, haha! This playful and fun summer inspired look i did wasn’t hard to achieve and the best part of the whole process was that i felt like a million dollars, don’t know why that is but i just did! Don’t be afraid to play around with colours, step out of your comfort zone, after all it can be wiped off if you don’t like it.

Here’s the list of products i used for this look:

I mixed the YSL Fusion Ink foundation  in B70 with the MAC Studio Fluid NW 44 to achieve my perfect shade.

For highlighting i went for the LA Girl concealer in fawn and set that with Fashion Fair Powder. For contouring i used the Sleeks palette in medium.

Finishing powder was Mac Mineralise skin finish in dark deep.

One of my favourite eyeshadow palette at the moment is the Karity smoke palette, such beautiful and vibrant colours enveloped in a very affordable palette. I’m truly obsessed with it.

I also used the Nars shadow in Grenadines for my crease colour, then the Cargo Palette in California throwback for my inner tear duct shade. My lashes were eye candy, absolutely gorgeous they are!

Pigmented, long-lasting and easy to apply, the LA Girl liquid lipstick in Stunner, very suitable colour for the summer.

Go on beauties spice up your makeup looks. Makeup is an art!
