Fall outfit ideas

Hello beauties, how are you doing?

I just wanted to share a few outfits that i think will be appropriate for the season. Mind you i’m aware that some places are colder than others, but you can always layer up and switch the pieces around.

My style is dependent upon my mood, that’s the easiest way to explain it. I wouldn’t class myself as being trendy, i just wear what i think suits my body type and also what i find comfortable and of course stylish. Did i also mention affordable? Yes i’m not one to spend a whole lot, when there are bargains out there. The trick is to buy pieces that work for you and rock them with confidence. No one has to know what’s on the price tag!

First look is more relaxed. I’ve gone for this soft jeans top with laced detail at the front and folded sleeves, which you can also unfold if it gets cooler. I’ve paired the top with these black soft pants, which hugs the body nicely. To complete the look, these black booties with straps going across the top.

I recently wore this outfit whilst i was in Italy and i got a lot of compliments. I wore it to Sunday lunch which i think was perfect. Sometimes we get carried away by eating and this will hide the stomach if you’ve had one too many fries haha. I also loved the vertical stripes, very flattering, even though they’ve said when you’re figure is slender, you should stick to horizontal stripes, who makes the rules? The most daring part about this number are the peek a boo shoulders, it’s added such a nice touch to the dress. Again paired with the Missguided booties.

I love this dress! Not only is it stylish, it is also quite comfortable and warm. Never mind the slash details, you can always wear sometimes  underneath if it gets a little colder. The fabric feels really nice on the skin, well made.

As you’ve seen in the pictures, i’ve dressed up this shirt dress with some heels and dressed it down with some flats. That’s how i like my outfits, you can go from day to night or casual to glam.

There you have it, a few ideas of what you can wear for Fall. If it’s colder add some tights and a jacket, you’ll still look smashing!

Whiter teeth naturally/Carbon Coco

Correct me if i’m wrong in saying everyone aspires to have a beautiful, white, bright smile! I’ve tried whitening toothpastes and whitening kits, which were a complete waste of money. The only thing that actually worked was a trip to the Dentist’s office, which came with a whopping price tag.

I’ve been researching different ways, in which i can achieve or should i say maintain, whiter teeth, if i’m being honest, my teeth are pretty decent, thanks to my Dentist.

Now i happen to see a few Youtubers review this natural teeth whitening kit, made of activated charcoal and i was quite intrigued. According to their reviews, some were pretty pleased with the results.

I was lucky enough to receive the same teeth whitening kit from the company called Carbon Coco, who are Australian based. What really stood out to me was the fact that this is a natural way of getting whiter teeth, they are vegan friendly, i’m not a vegan but i have lots of friends who are, and they are also cruelty free.

In using this teeth whitening treatment, you are meant to see results within 7-14 days. I’m on day 1, so i’ll be tracking my progress. If this indeed works, you’ll be the first to know!

They claim that it’s gentle, yet effective in detoxifying the mouth and removing stains that may have been caused by coffee, tea or other coloured drinks. It’s also meant to keep bad breath at bay.

The kit comes with a toothbrush, the activated charcoal powder, whitening toothpaste, tongue scraper and a storage bag.

Usage: Dip toothbrush into powder, making sure it’s well coated. Brush teeth in circles for 2-3 mins, then rinse. After brushing with powder, brush with whitening toothpaste for more or less the same time. Repeat twice daily for 7-14 days for results.

Day 1

Did i see any results after one use? Maybe just a little bit, but then again, my teeth were in a fairly good state to begin with. I can only tell if it really works if i continue using it for the recommended period.

Let the testing begin! Have you tried this kit or anything similar? What are your thoughts? Thanks for reading. Here’s the link to their website, do check them out!.

GWA (Girl With Attitude) makeup look + review

Hey everyone, hope you’re all well.

You know i love to share my new and not so new discoveries with you right? Hey sharing is caring! Ok so this brand i’m about to tell you about isn’t very popular as far as i know, however they are quite good. The first time i came across this makeup line was in a store in the UK called Savers, if you know me then you’d know i go where things are pretty inexpensive.

Ok so lined out in the makeup section of this store were some of the most beautiful lashes i’ve ever seen, and the packaging was very nice as well. What do you know, i have about ten pairs of lashes in my basket, why not? haha, they were £2.99, i wasn’t gonna pass up those great offers. To cut this story very short, i basically fell in love with their lashes, so i was very keen to try out the other products in their line. Here we go!

This is how it happened, one fine day, i was scrolling down my Instagram Timeline and saw this brand again, this time, they were advertising their eyeshadow palettes, so i went onto their page and was amazed at how beautiful and well presented their products were, so i went straight to their website and ordered a few bits.

I was away at the time, so i can’t say how quick their delivery system was, but all i can say is, the packaging were to die for! They have put some thoughts into every single detail. Even if the product themselves were crap, you’d definitely be sold based only on how they looked, so magical!

I loved everything, from their eyeshadow and highlighting palettes to their matte liquid lipsticks! Oh did i mention they were also vegan friendly and cruelty free? Oh yes, and also affordable!

Here are the claims for both palettes:

*Ultra pigmented

*long wearing

*Velvety smooth

*Cruelty free

The eyeshadow palette was £9.99 and the highlighting palette £11.99. As for the liquid lipsticks they claim they are:

*Ultra pigmented

*Long wearing

*Matte finish

*Non transfer

It also smelt like peaches, insert smiley face 😉

So far i can say their claims are true, i’m a happy camper!

Here’s the look i came up with.

Outfit of the day

What do you do on a warm, sunny day in beautiful Antigua? Get dressed, and go for lunch. This is the outfit i donned. I’m a huge fan of florals, always put me in a happy place. The bold, colourful floral patterns, give a tropical feel. Very comfortable, as it’s not clingy, therefore you’ll stay cool all day.

Juvia’s Place Masquerade mini palette

I’ve been having a lot of fun with this palette! It is raved about by a lot of makeup artists and enthusiasts. The quality and pigmentation of the eyeshadows are absolutely amazing!

This brand Juvia’s Place is well known for their eyeshadow palettes, some may say they are quite affordable but that is relative! I purchased mine off Beauty Bay and i paid a whopping £26, now they have gone up to £30! With that being said, they are worth the price, for the quality and the amount you get in a palette.

According to the Juvia’s Place site and i quote, “This palette is inspired by African festivities, filled with joy and spiritual activities. The bold colours represent costumes used in festivals. The nudes and browns represent the African soil and environments.”

I think it a lovely combination of colours, perfect for anyone who wishes to create, bold as well as neutral looks.

IMG_0644IMG_0646IMG_0633IMG_0636

This look i created is one of my favourites, the colour pay off and the blending ability of the shadows are unrivalled.

Mind you i did get a little bit of fall out but i guess tapping the excess off the brush or using a slightly damp one will minimise that issue. This to me is a minor problem, i highly recommend this palette, big thumbs up!

Bold Summer Makeup

Hey beauties!

Take a look at this beautiful look i did using the Revolution ‘Redemption Mermaids and unicorn’ palette. The colours in this palette are absolutely beautiful, they are bold, pigmented and blend very nicely.

I’m sure a lot of you may be familiar with Makeup Revolution which is a UK drugstore brand. You can purchase their products online as well as many other makeup outlets, so they are easy to get your hands on. They are an affordable brand, with great quality.

I used those two shades shown above, and they were the perfect combination! To give the eyes a little more drama, i used NYX Brights liquid eyeliner in ‘Vivid Sapphire’.

I loved the outcome, I think this is such a playful, fun look. I hope you like it as much as i do. Thanks for stopping by.

Morphe 25A palette, worth £19?

Hey there lovelies!

To add to my growing makeup collection, i’ve purchased another Morphe palette. I have been a big fan of Morphe ever since they were highly spoken about by a lot of beauty influencers on social media. Don’t get me wrong, i don’t always buy everything they rave about, a particular product has to really grab my attention for me to spend money.

Browsing on Beauty Bay, I came across this palette that looked like something i’d most certainly enjoy using, now Beauty Bay i must add is one of my favourite online makeup stores, i  always end up purchasing even when i’ve said to myself i’m only window shopping, yea right! Haha.

Of course i quickly grabbed this palette as things on Beauty Bay go so fast, ‘you snooze you lose’. It has been my ‘go to’ it consists of some really gorgeous warm shades, that are perfect for everyday wear or any occasion for that matter. I can never have too many neutral palettes as i always wear them more than i do bolder more vibrant shades.

This palette has 25 shades, ranging from taupes, beige, browns, golds to blacks. Basically you get a decent selection of warm tones.

1st row

The first row swatched ok, i use the beige  shades for my brow bone highlight. If you’re going to use on the lids, then you’ll definitely have to build them up.

FullSizeRender-106

2nd row

I don’t care much for the second row, it’s my least favourite in the palette. I don’t know what exactly i’d use these to do, but i’m sure they can also be used as lid colours. They aren’t as pigmented either.

FullSizeRender-105

3rd row

The third row again was just ok, let’s just say the first three rows in this palette were not the best.

FullSizeRender-108

4th row

Now the fourth row is my absolute favourite, just look at how pigmented these shades are! The shimmer or foiled shades are hands down the best in the palette. They are super pigmented, smooth and blend like a dream.

FullSizeRender-107

5th row

The fifth row wasn’t bad either, the shades are pigmented as well.

My overall thoughts on this palette, i would say it is definitely a mixed bag! The first three rows weren’t up to much.

Is it worth £19? In my opinion not really, Morphe has other palettes which have 35 shades, and some have amazing pigmentation selling at £22, now that’s a better deal. I guess it comes down to a matter of personal preference.

Here’s a look i created using this palette, i have to say i really loved the outcome!
