I love a good green smoothie, not only is it delicious but very nutritious. The mere fact that you can blend fruits and vegetables together to get a super drink, packed with Vitamins, minerals, calcium among other nutrients is great. I live by this saying, your health is your wealth. Of course i incorporate exercises too as a way to stay fit.
What are the ingredients in my green smoothie? (i didn’t measure, i just used my discretion)
1.Spinach- It is full of vitamins, antioxidants and minerals. It is a good source of Vitamins A,B2, C and K and it also contains magnesium, folate, iron, calcium and potassium.
2.Strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries- They are powerful foods, rich in nutrients, antioxidants and photochemical, which may help to prevent (and in most cases, reverse) the effects of ageing, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease and so on.
3.Bananas- They are extremely healthy, they contain a fair amount of fibre, several essential nutrients and antioxidants.
4. Almond milk (optional)- Lactose free milk that contains vitamins like calcium, iron, magnesium, zinc just to name a few. These nutrients have various benefits which are essential to the body.
5-Ice cubes- Also optional, this adds texture to the smoothie and makes it a bit colder, especially if you didn’t use frozen fruits.
I added all these ingredients to the blender and ran it for a few minutes, until everything was well blended and smooth as the name says, smoothie haha..
